Our Terms of Business
These terms and conditions regulate the business relationship between you and us. By using Curtain Wizard in any way, or by buying from us, you agree to be bound by them.
No person under the age of 18 years may purchase goods.
We may change these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to you are those posted here on Curtain Wizard on the day you order Goods. “Goods” refers to any goods we offer for sale on Our Web Site. “Our Web Site” “we” “us” means Curtain Wizard. “Price” means the price of the Goods plus any delivery charge. “Order” means any order made by you for the supply of Goods by us. “You and yours” means the person who buys or agrees to buy Goods from us.
All information given on Curtain Wizard is current at the time it was posted but may be subject to change, without notice.
Goods advertised are subject to availability.
Disclaimers
We try hard to represent the true colour of the fabrics on your computer screens, however this is not always possible and large variations can occur. We strongly recommend that you order a free sample of you chosen design (maximum of 8 free) before you place your order.
Samples are given as a representation of the fabric but not an exact match as there may be slight colour differences between batches of fabric. We endeavour to label the samples on the correct side of the fabric. However from time to time they maybe labelled on the wrong side. Please contact us if unsure.
All curtain pairs will be made from the same batch of fabric. If ordering two or more pairs for the same room we will wherever possible endeavour to use the same batch.
We recommend all goods should be dry clean only.
All descriptions, weights and sizes of Goods are those of the original manufacturers and you may not rely on their accuracy. Accordingly, any such description shall not form part of this agreement.
Textile materials do shrink. A shrinkage tolerance of up to 5% should be allowed when making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.
Roman Blinds will be made to an acceptable commercial tolerance of 3%.
Some fabrics can fade in direct sunlight or expand in damp conditions.
Prices
All prices are shown include VAT at the current rate ruling. It is possible that the price may have increased from that posted on our website.
Cancellation, Return of Goods and Refunds
A binding contract is formed only when you receive confirmation from us that your order has been accepted. This will be confirmed by e-mail usually within 24 hours of receipt of your order (if placed during normal working hours Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm). You may cancel your order only up to this point. You may not in any event cancel or return your order after this point as the goods are custom-made specifically to your requirements. Therefore it is important that you are certain about the product you require, and the measurements you give. We cannot accept returns for mistakes that you make in measuring and inappropriateness of fabric chosen by you for a particular use or purpose. To help you make the right decision when choosing your goods from Curtain Wizard take advantage of our free sample service (up to 4 free).
In the unlikely event of your goods being faulty please email us at [email protected] or telephone us on 0845 1309 321.We will arrange to have the goods collected and either replace or make good the goods at no cost to you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Any faulty Goods must be brought to our attention immediately upon discovery and in any event a valid claim based on any defect in quality or condition must be made within 7 days from the date of delivery of the goods. Any claim for items missing from your order must be made within 3 days of the delivery date.
You may not reject the goods where the alleged defect or breach of contract is so slight that it would be unreasonable for you to do so.
Payment
You will be charged for goods at the time of order. We cannot deliver or start the manufacture of the goods until payment has been received in full as cleared funds. You can pay on-line with all mayor credit cards and debit cards using Protx secure authorisation system. We will accept cheques drawn on any bank within the UK. Please allow 7 working days for cheques to clear. Please make them payable to:Curtain Wizard and send to PO Box 3879 Trowbridge BA14 4AD.
Delivery
We deliver any where within mainland UK free of charge. The only exception to this is orders for fabric only where a delivery charge of £4.50 will be made.
All delivery times are approximate and are subject to stock availability. We endeavour to deliver all goods within 14 working days of the date on your order confirmation. We will notify you of any delays on confirmation. If we are not able to supply the goods required for reasons beyond our control we will contact you as soon as possible.
All goods will be delivered to your door by carrier service where a signature will be required. If a delivery is made whilst you are out a card will be left giving details of a local collection point for the goods to be collected by yourself or a number to call to rearrange the delivery of your goods. We are not liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.
We may deliver the goods in instalments if the goods are not available at the same time for delivery.

Dispute Resolution
In any claim against us our liability is limited to the value of the goods you have purchased in the contract, which is the subject of the dispute.
In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and only the English courts will decide any disputes.
Security
We use Protx authorisation system to ensure that all transactions using credit or debit cards are secure and cannot be accessed or used by third parties.
Privacy
We adhere strictly to the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
We collect personal information about you, such as your name, address, phone number and e-mail address in order to process your order. We do not release personal information to other traders or third parties, except to process your order or if your consent is given.
We do not collect or store credit card numbers as these are collected by our Credit Card service, Protx.
